Indoor Skatepark Build – Vienna, Summer 2024
In the summer of 2024, I spent a solid stretch of time helping build the new indoor skatepark in Vienna, Austria. It was an intense and rewarding experience. I worked on most of the bowl, the “building within the building,” and a range of obstacles and installations throughout the park.

With 1,300 m² of floor space, there was no shortage of work. I was one of the last craftsmen on site, pushing through the final details to get everything finished. Massive respect to Skateboard Club Vienna—a dedicated crew of skaters who spent years turning this project into a reality, securing funding from the government. Their effort and vision were a huge source of inspiration.

Vienna itself is a beautiful city, rich in history and culture. I just wish I’d had more time to actually explore it.

As a creator and member of the Latvian Skateboarders Collective, this project hit close to home. It’s another reminder that with enough persistence, big ideas can become reality.
