In 2014, experimentation with the use of glass as a medium in skateboarding was undertaken and documented by Kristaps Dzenis. The resulting performance showcased the raw process of building glass objects for use in skateboarding, utilizing layers of recycled glass and UV glue. This experimentation was supported by Ernest Vitin and his Layered Glass Studio, along with the participation of performer Maksims Feofilovs. These initial explorations ultimately led to selection for the Young Glass Festival, where a live skateboarding performance was showcased in front of the Ebeltoft Glass Museum.
